عمادة شؤون الطلبة في جامعة الشرق الاوسط MEU بالتعاون مع إدارة مكافحة المخدرات تعقد محاضرة حول ” آفة المخدرات

عمّان-MEU: عقدت عمادة شؤون الطلبة، بالتعاون مع إدارة مكافحة المخدرات، محاضرة حول ” آفة المخدرات وسبل مكافحتها “؛ بهدف التوعية بأضرار هذه الآفة، وكيفية محاربتها.

وعرَّف الملازم أول، عمّار الرواجيح، مفهوم المخدرات بأنها مركب كيميائي، يعمل على إتلاف خلايا الجهاز العصبي وكافة خلايا الجسم، إضافة إلى آثارها على جسم المتعاطي ومختلف الأمراض الناجمة عنها، مؤكداً أنها آفة تفتك بالشعوب، وتهدد الأمن الداخلي للدولة.

وبيَّن الرواجيح في المحاضرة التي أدارها عميد شؤون الطلبة، الدكتور سليم شريف، بحضور مجموعة من أعضاء الهيئة التدريسية والإدارية والطلبة، أنَّ أضرار المخدرات لا تؤثر في الشخص المتعاطي وحسْب، وإنما تمتد لتفتك بالأسرة والمجتمع ككل، داعياً الطلبة إلى ضرورة مكافحة هذه الآفة، ونشر الوعي بأضرارها، وكيفية مواجهتها بين زملائهم وأسرهم، مستعرضاً الدور الفاعل الذي تقوم به إدارة مكافحة المخدرات في محاربة هذه الظاهرة الخطيرة.

وجرى خلال اللقاء نقاش موسّع مع المشاركين حول المخدرات والأساليب المتبعة للتغرير بالشباب وطرق إيقاعهم بشرَك التعاطي، وأخطار هذه الآفة التي أصبح الترويج لها يأخذ أشكالاً وصوراً متعددة، وأن رفاق السوء، وضعف الوازع الديني، والتفكك الأسريّ، هي من أهم الأسباب في انتشار تعاطي المخدرات بين فئات المجتمع المتعددة.

وعلى هامش المحاضرة تجوّل المشاركون في معرض توعويّ، تابع لإدارة مكافحة المخدرات، يتناول أنواع المخدرات، وأدوات تعاطي المخدرات، بالإضافة إلى العديد من البوسترات والمنشورات والبروشورات التوعوية والتثقيفية بأنواع المخدرات، وأضرارها، والآثار الجانبية لها، وأسباب الإدمان، وأثره في الفرد والمجتمع، وموقف الشريعة الإسلامية منه.

من جهته، أشاد د. سليم شريف، عميد شؤون الطلبة، بالجهود التي تبذلها مديرية الأمن العام من خلال إدارة مكافحة المخدرات ودورها المهم في تحصين المواطن من خلال البرامج التوعوية والتثقيفية والإرشاد، ودعا الطلبة إلى أن يكونوا رُسل توعية وتثقيف في أسرهم ومجتمعهم، وأن يقفوا مع العاملين في مجال محاربة هذه الآفة الخطرة باعتبار أن الشباب الجامعي ركن أساسيّ ومركزيّ في بناء الدولة، ونهضتها، وتطورها.

Amman – In cooperation with the Anti-Narcotics Department, the Deanship of Students Affairs at MEU held a lecture on combating drug use in order to raise awareness about the harms of substance use and how to fight against it.

During the lecture, First Lieutenant Ammar Al Rawajih defined drugs as chemical compounds that damage neurons and the cells of other body systems, resulting in several problems and diseases and extending to become a threat on human lives and national security systems.

He also pointed out that the harms of drugs do not only affect those who use them, but also impact their households and their entire communities. Upon saying this, he invited students to fight against this phenomenon and to raise awareness about its harms and the strategies to combat them among their fellow students and in their communities. He also referred to the significant role the Anti-Narcotics Department does to contain this dangerous phenomenon.

Discussion among participants about the reasons behind this phenomenon included the lack of religious consciousness, household disintegration. Afterwards, participants were taken in a tour around an exhibition at the Department especially designed for the purpose of raising awareness about the harms of drugs, their types, and the tools used for their consumption. The exhibition also explains the reason behind drug use, its side effects, and the position of Islamic legislation on it.

Dr. Salim Sharif, Dean of Students Affairs, expressed his admiration of the efforts exerted by the Public Security Directorate to fight this phenomenon and of its significant role in protecting citizens from its harms through lectures and awareness-raising programs, and invited MEU students to be messenger that carry the messages they learned during the lecture to other members of their community.
